The 13th annual International Conference of Education, Research and Innovation (ICERI) took place this year from November 9th to 10th with a mixture of synchronous and asynchronous contributions. 12 tracks of diverse content from participants from 70 different countries were brought together in a virtual environment. The SIDDATA project also made two international contributions.
The 15th Annual Conference of the Society for Higher Education Research (Gesellschaft für Hochschulforschung – GfHf) took place under the motto “University teaching in the field of tension between individual and institutional responsibility”. This time, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the format was changed to an asynchronous online conference. The SIDDATA project also contributed to the GfHf 2020.
At the annual conference of Wirtschaftsinformatik from 9 to 11 March 2020 in Potsdam, the current developments, opportunities and challenges of digitization were presented and discussed. Researchers from the joint project “SIDDATA” presented their scientific publications.
From 4th to 7th November the “E-Learn – World Conference on E-Learning 2019” took place in New Orleans, USA. Carla Tenspolde presented the paper “Barriers of a Digital Study Assistant – Classification within a Digital Transformation Taxonomy”.
On 21 October 2019, the annual event of the Network for Higher Education Teaching of the Hochschulforum Digitalisierung (University Forum on Digitalization) (HFD) took place at the World Conference Center in Bonn. Participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas with like-minded people at this network meeting for university teaching.
On 8 and 9 October, representatives of media centres, university libraries, centres for communication and information processing as well as interested researchers met in Osnabrück for the 20th DINI Annual Conference (Deutsche Initiative für Netzwerkinformation e. V.). The motto was: “1999-2019-2039: Innovative projects in research, teaching and infrastructure”. Among other things, the SIDDATA project was represented with a poster. A student contribution on the topic “digital companion” also dealt with digital assistants and was one of the winners of the student competition.
A working meeting on digital tools in higher education took place as part of the 27th annual conference of the Gesellschaft für Medien in der Wissenschaft e. V. (Society for Media in Science). The aim was the exchange and discourse on research questions in the two BMBF-funded projects “tech4comp” and “SIDDATA”.
During the X5GON “Workshop on Sustainability of Open Educational Resources” Sebastian Osada and Felix Weber of the SIDDATA team presented the research questions of the interdisciplinary joint project for “Individualization of Studies through Digital, Data-Driven Assistants – SIDDATA”.
The BMBF-funded project SIDDATA (2018 – 2022) was presented in a poster presentation at the annual “Day of Teaching” event at Leibniz University Hanover.
